Aims of the project

The main aim of the project is to boost cultural and intercultural awareness of all the people involved in its implementation. However, being especially targeted to students, we have established the following objectives for them:

  • to increase the cultural awareness of at least 80% of the students, making them more knowledgeable about their history, geography, literature, customs, traditions, dances, music

  • to increase intercultural awareness and competence of all the students, making them more knowledgeable about the history, geography, literature, customs, traditions, dances, music of other European countries

  • to improve students’ ICT skills by means of mobile applications and online tools for presentations, activities, evaluation, creation of outputs

  • to improve students’ transferrable skills – analysis, team work, adaptability, organization communication and research

  • to improve students’ motivation for learning and self-confidence.

As for the schools involved, our objectives are:

  • to improve the European dimension and international cooperation

  • to motivate teachers

  • to improve communication and cooperation among all actors involved

The objectives are in accordance with the first priority - social and educational value of European cultural heritage, as our main aim is to contribute to raising awareness of the importance of Europe's cultural heritage through education, lifelong learning, informal and non-formal learning, youth, and includes activities that support the development of abilities, social inclusion, critical thinking and youth engagement.

We also adress the second priority – Social inclusion – by promoting social, civic and intercultural competences, and attempting to reduce disparities in accessing and engaging with digital technologies in formal and non-formal education. This project will give us the chance to fulfill all these set objectives.

Such European projects and the opportunities they offer students to meet, know each other, interact etc. can never be equaled by activities developed in our schools only. Students will be more motivated to make efforts and accomplish their tasks more than they would in a normal, daily context. Thus, we are all confident that the target groups will benefit from this partnership both personally and at a professional level. Teachers too will be able to meet and interact with other teachers from Europe, talk about common issues and solutions found by the partner schools, which will bring changes in their perspectives and approaches in their current activities.

The project will develop the following results:

  • accomplishment of objectives

  • knowledge, skills and competences developed by students

  • better cooperation among schools across Europe.
